摘 要：魏特琳（Minnie Vautrin）作为美国新教来华传教士，多年曾任教和居职于金陵女子文理学院，后数年则主要致力于战时慈善救助。从其“业缘”来看，具有“宗教”与“世俗”双重交叠的身份。她1937至1940年间的日记，在记述日军侵华暴行的同时，也留下她和同道在学校改作的难民收容场所和其他场地，进行慈善救助的真实记录。本文从“身份、信仰与慈善事业”的特定角度，既解读该日记文本的客体内容，也藉以反观日记作者的主体情状，从两者结合上探析魏特琳的宗教精神与慈善情怀，体察她和她的日记作品所蕴蓄的宗教与世俗双重境界的微妙关系。
Abstract: As an America Protestant missionary，Minnie•VautrIn once spent years teaching and working in Jinling Women College of Arts and Sciences in Nanjing and was then primarily dedicated in wartime charity. Being judged by her career, she had double overlapping identities of Religion and Secularity. Her diary written from 1937 to 1940 not only recorded the Japanese soldiers' atrocity Acts in China but also kept a real account of charity aid activities with her Counterparts in refugee shelters repurposed by school and other sites. From the specified point of view of identities, faith and philanthropies, the paper not only reads the objective content from the her diary but also views her subjective situation, and then combines her religious spiritual and Charitable feelings, in order to observe the certain delicate relationship created by her religion and secularization from her and her diary.
