Abstract: There has been an interesting phenomenon: a lot of people who helped the refugees during World War Ⅱ were called “Schindler” after the film “Schindler’s List”. From a certain perspective, “Schindler phenomenon” can be said to be a “bad guy done good” phenomenon, which reflects the essence of humanity: humanity is good, and at the same time, it’s evil. Since human nature is both good and evil, we maybe can prevent the human atrocities such as Auschwitz, the Nanjing Massacre happen again by enhancing personal accomplishment, implementing fraternity education, relating systems to prevent rulers’ evil. But we can not too optimistic. Because of the evil of human nature is rooted in human genes, human beings may make atrocities at any time. No matter whether accomplishment, education or system, has insurmountable limitations. The path to peace is full of thorns.
